You may use one 30% offensive attack technique and one 30% defensive barrier technique for free, once per thread each. These cannot have their power boosted in any way.
ABSORBER MODULE:
Once per thread, you may use a free 30% defensive technique with the unique 'absorber' variant. If the barrier remains unbroken, you gain 1 KP.
GENERAL TRAITS:
ANTISENSE:
Your ki is invisible to energy sensing and scouters, even in the midst of combat - this can be toggled on and off. In addition, escape techniques have a boost of +20% to their total effectiveness and your first escape technique per thread costs no KP.
SELF-SACRIFICE:
You may activate any one of your Standard Techniques using your life force. This will render it free of cost, but will instantly knock you out, or wound you in Action Threads. Can not be used on the same turn you would normally be knocked out from damage.
CHARACTER DESCRIPTIONS
A linked pair of absorption-style modules that not only feed off the environment freely, but can take in other fighter's powers. All while being relatively cheap and noncommital compared to rigorous martial arts training, androidification, or even simple cyberization. Simply by holding the pads in one's palms, it links to the nervous system. Sharing its power with completely organic hosts.
BACKGROUND:
Let’s keep it short and sweet. The Hi-Volt platform is a standard of efficient energy structuring that takes key hints from both the endless energy and absorption models. Combining half of the atomic fusion of one with the ability to pull from the other. Instead of building a solid core needed to facilitate complete isolated fusion in the Endless Energy Model, the Hi-Volt instead uses a smaller shell and relies on the environment to regulate what atoms it squanders for the fusion reaction. This makes the power output comparable without necessitating special materials to harness Endless Energy.
To further stabilize such a system and allow others to actively use the energy created therein, the Hi-Volt links with organic nervous systems via constant static current, set to a safe amount of course. This sets a base for the platform that isn’t dependant on user ability in the slightest while being easy to handle and control.
The first implementation of this platform is in the shape of absorption-style orbs called Palm Core Pads. A pair of handheld orbs that both hold a bit of the entire platform in each part while connecting to the user. This prototype is currently being fielded and worked on by Tomino herself. Usually concealed in her jacket or kept at the ready in her closed hands
COMBAT INFORMATION
TECHNIQUES 6/6: You start with Three Standard Technique Slots and One Sparking Slot that you can use any way you like. Some species start out with additional slots, or access to certain slot-based abilities for free. You also start with two additional Utility Technique Slots.

Overcharging it to such a degree leaves disruptive charged particles around the user, subsequently shielding them and their weapon's current location in a shroud. A useful side effect.

Utility Technique || Kinetic Flight
With some training, those utilizing the Hi-Volt Pads can propel themselves in the air through energy jettisoned out of them.
