Vocado stomped across the streets, teeth chattering with each step. Adorned in a coat he bought from some gift shop or another, he tried his best not to show signs of weakness. Being a Saiyan, it was a little embarrassing to find himself having trouble here. The heat was normal for him. Arid wastes and humid, muggy swamps were incredibly common on the surface of Plant. Here, though? This air was rancid to his lungs. Like ice knives.
Hopefully the palace proper would be heated in some way.
Following the map was doing him no good. Kabe told him they’d meet at the palace, but each building in the city looked like its own miniature empire. How did anyone tell anything apart here? He groaned, and a puff of hot air escaped him. A young girl giggled at his frustration as her and her mother strolled through town, and he had a half a mind to yank the ice cream out of her hands and swallow it whole. If he wasn’t halfway to frostbite, he might’ve considered it harder.
Eventually, through luck alone, he found something decidedly palace-like. The location was right, there were no advertisements blaring at him, and the hustle and bustle was notably absent here.
With a casual stroll he walked up to the entrance. A grand set of double doors, flanked by two burly guardsmen.
”I’m here to see Empress Ise. I have an appointment.”

Just as his uncle had struggled to navigate his way to the palace in the corporate aristocracy of Arcose proper, Kabe had been experiencing his own difficulties making his way to visit his newly crowned sister in her seat of power. Filled up from his hunt in the frozen seas of the planet, he'd dropped off his child in the care of his right-hand Nyaku, thrown the hood of his cloak up and walked into the citidel hoping that he could slip easily by on his way to the palace.
But as it turns out, when you're visiting a planet that's sphere of space you've been pirating since your teenage years and your bounty has recently been rising several magnitudes by a monster of a father in even the further reaches of the galaxy... you stick out like a sore thumb. Everywhere he turned, he found himself confronted with bounty posters. Every alleyway was occupied, every corner exposed and every shadow illuminated. It was his worst nightmare come to life.
It was around when he'd come across a desaturated, ancient bounty poster old enough that it still showed his measly 1,000,000 zeni bounty from when he was fourteen when he decided that discretion was not really an option here. Instead, he ducked into a nearby tailor, "relieved" him of one of his finest fuschia outfits, and strolled down the street like he owned the place.
If he thought about it, he was technically royalty. At least ten percent of the empress privelage had to be transferrable to siblings... surely.
With a warmer matching purple cloak thrown over his form to fight back the cold, Kabe strolled up the steps to the entrance and stood beside his uncle as they awaited their communion with the finest of the arcosian triumverate. He carried himself with all the noble dignity he could muster, which admittedly wasn't much when compared to arcosian customs. "We have an appointment."

The guard let out a long sigh as he watched the first Saiyan approach, they had, once the Triumverate took power and it became clear that Empress Ise would infact be maintaining her position among the trio, experienced a rather annoying uptick in the small number of Saiyans that lived on Arcose trying to angle for a meeting with the Empress with the idea that she might favor them by the fact she was a Saiyan like them, as it stood however the young Empress had little particular interest in them beyond what she had in the populace of Arcose in general.
And while the young Empress held a healthy interest in the prosperity of Arcose she had relatively little interest in the individual citizens unless they showed an innate natural strength or seemed to have something interesting about them, and thus they were turned away just as every random citizen trying to seek audience with the nobility was by general rule.
And so when the Saiyan marched up to him and indicated he was here to see the Empress just as others had it took a great effort to not roll his eyes, that he was soon joined by ANOTHER Saiyan made the guard just a bit cautious, enough to tap his scouter and get a read on their power annnnnd—
He blinked a few times as the scouter returned a number for the weaker of the two that was in the range of most Arcosians’s True Form’s and the stronger was nearly twice as much. Perhaps there was a bit more to this than he had expected. “One moment.” He said tot he duo before making a call with his scouter “Front Gate reporting, two Saiyans with high power claiming an audience with the Empress.” It took a few moments but he was quickly given a response to escort the duo to the throne room for much to his surprise a genuine appointment with the Empress. His partner on the other side of the main doorway nodded receiving the same message. “Right this way.” With that the doors were opened and the guard lead the duo through the citadel and into the Throne Room.
Elsewhere as the duo was being lead to the Throne Ise was wrapping up a meeting with the new Duke of Heifong, giving her a status update on the situation there after she and Mint rather thoroughly put down the bulk of the forces involved in the intended uprising. She’d had to spend a bit of time to determine who to actually place in charge there but it had been an interesting experience and her choice appeared to be working out.
“Empress, it seems your appointment has arrived.” her attendant spoke up though Ise had not strictly needed the verbal confirmation, she’d heard everything from the woman’s scouter but as best she could tell none of the guards or attendants had figured out she could hear their conversations due to her enhanced hearing. Ideal just in case anyone got any silly ideas.
“Lovely, take messages for any calls that come through while I’m occupied with this, anything of imminent importance can be sent through to me unless Mint it available.” the Attendant nodded and stepped away to give the Empress the privacy she expected as one of the guards lead a pair of Saiyans into the Throne Room.
Ise meanwhile was lounging on the throne, doing her best to make the rather uncomfortable seat just a BIT more comfortable “Vocado, Kabe, welcome to Arcose! It’s good to have you two here.”

Vocado waltzed through the palace halls as if he owned the place. Trying not to seem too overconfident about his connection and yet all too happy to let people know if it pleased him to do so. He gently nudged Kabe, trying to get him to follow along. They needed to look tough, but for who, he wasn't sure. Not like Ise would be able to tell.
Speaking of, her throne wasn't far in the slightest. What it lacked in travel time, it made up for in elegance. A rather simple design, truth be told, but it was implied that Arcosian's preferred it as such. Lots of the buildings here (at least the one's not plastered with advertisements) seemed to hold that same air of implied wealth with simple, sleek designs. Far removed, he considered, from the reason Saiyan homes were so simple.
"Kiddo!" His words escaped him like a proud father who'd just witnessed his little one catch their first fish. "Leadership suits you! Just as it does any Bonewood!" He clapped Kabe on the back, pushing him forwards to allow the lad a chance to introduce himself properly.
"No assassination attempts this week, I hope? Surely you get a few of those per week."

Kabe had no need of the nudge when it came to following along. Though he treaded lightly, that caution was masked with heavyset footsteps and a confident stride, the kind he'd learned to carry himself with when visiting the seediest pits the galaxy had to offer. The kind that let people know both that you were someone in charge, and someone not to be fucked with.
When they reached the throne room, Kabe glanced around. He'd seen more impressive things in his time, beseeching pirate lords and robbing earls and dukes of faraway arcosian fiefdoms, but the simplicity offered an air of elegance that pomp would have have detracted from. "Nice place you have here," Kabe said, moving to wander before he was pushed forward by his uncle.
"It's good to see you! You wear the crown remarkably well, but I didn't expect any less from a sister of mine. I'm sure if mom were around, she'd..." He didn't let himself finish it at first, catching the thought in his throat. He coughed, trying to play it off. "She'd be proud. Bonewood rises above even the tallest trees, she used to say. Maybe she was right."
There was some truth in that, he thought. A general, an empress, and a pirate lord. Three leaders in their own right. He smiled. "So, how have you been?" He started, withdrawing a hoverchair from his gullet and parking his butt in the seat of it.

*Nasu: lulu If you would hear an old member's experience, trust me when I say you get a lot of creative freedom and more flavor chances than what it might look like at first. It is okay, though. But if you choose to stay, you will also be welcome!
