Once again, Dion and his brother Carro found themselves amidst the twilight of their time remaining on the planet that they had used to not-so-lovingly call their home. After taking the appropriate amount of time to allow for Dion to recuperate to a manageable level from his six month torture and extortion trip as well as to enable Carro to be able to do some necessary repairs and supply runs for the sake of their ship and mid-travel needs, it finally appeared to be nearly time for them to take their leave.
And while he assumed it to be the same for his little brother, Dion himself could barely wait any longer. Earth was what he would consider their real home, and not only that, but Dion held within him the burning need to pick up the pieces that he had left in light of his untimely kidnapping. The desire to fix everything even if it was beyond his control still ever present after all this time. Plus, Uncle Caper at this point would be worried sick about the two siblings, and Dion was sure that he'd love to see his surrogate nephew alive and well after all this time spent away from home.
But, despite his desperate need to return home, Dion would be lying if Plant hadn't impressed him in its improvement in the span of his and his sibling's absence. The atmosphere and environment of the planet overall found itself to be much more hospitable than what it had once been for the two Hofferson siblings, and while that still wasn't saying much considering the bar was set incredibly low as is, progress was still progress after all. He especially enjoyed stopping by Hatchi City, as it was a nice change of pace from the more rough and rugged attitude most other Saiyan-based cities had in comparison. And not only that, but it happened to be where Cheri and he touched base once again, and the interactions shared between the two were, incredibly eye-opening, to say the least.
It seemed to provide partial closure, in regards to everything that had happened and how much blame he initially put on himself, anyways, and just being able to see another person who seemed to be doing well for themselves after all this time was encouraging in a way. Zhalla, Nero, Pankaa, Cheri- all of these people helped to fuel his hopeful mindset once more.
A mindset without proper execution was rather useless though, which was even more reason as to why Dion yearned for the day that they would be making their due departure. So much so that these days, he spent most of his waking hours waiting near the entrance to the cave that Carro housed and worked on the ship within. Not wanting to be a nuisance, the bartender usually remained relatively quiet, normally using the stand by time to do mental imagery training- which became a favored pastime of his ever since his own training session with Nero.
During a particularly intense one, however, a sizable power signature broke the young man's concentration- enough to where he was forced up from his sitting position as he stared skyward, eyes narrowed in fierce calculation. Whoever this was, they were definitely beelining it to them, and yet..
...Dion felt this energy to be oddly familiar? It made him tilt his head in confusion once he realized it. He wasn't sure exactly where he's felt it before, but, his gut told him that he was more than sure they've experienced it in the past.
Now properly spooked, Dion knocked upon the entrance of the cave with a sense of urgency to its pattern, calling out to Carro and saying, "Hey, Carro- you might wanna get ready. We've got company."
