Kowlin was doing what Kowlin did best, investigating leads. After meeting with a Konatsian advisor, he promised Kowlin vast amounts of treasure that he didn't even need. Kowlin accepted because he was interested in the disappearance of a Konatsian Prince. Quinn was by his side and the pair of shinjin decided to track the prince here on Earth, for rumors of a pointed ear individual that wore odd desert clothing was spotted around these parts.
"So the latest rumors brings us here to Krash Kingdom."
Quinn had an old map of the Kingdom and kept looking at it from time to time.
"Says here that we are close to the Kingdom. Question is, how far are we from the actual place."
She would look up ahead and now they were walking over the cliff and finally spotting the entire Kingdom in ruins... Whoever could have done this mess was clearly a threat. Upon walking to the town and seeing the destroyed buildings, Kowlin spotted a nearby sentry just barely alive...
"Who did this to you?"
The man had grabbed a hold of Kowlin's forearm before speaking up.
"He had pointed ears... he looked human... he was a vile monster.... one moment he was normal looking like us... the next.. he became a monster...."
The man died in Kowlin's arms due to his severe injuries...

The first thing to catch her eye was the smoke, a great dark-grey cloud rising off in the distance. It did not take long for her to start heading that way at a near sprint. Hopefully there was something she could do once she arrived . . .
Unfortunately, it didn't seem there was anything she could do. The whole kingdom laid in ruins before her, the burned husks of buildings smoldering in the afternoon sun. She looked on with a frown, only feeling very few ki signatures in the wreckage, with a couple that seemed very strong alongside another very wea-- no, not weak. Non-existent. Are the perpetrators still here? She doubted it. Staying at such a wreckage would be folly. Instead of rushing head-first into a fight, she made her way over to the source of the two ki signatures.
There she found two: a man and a woman, both of an indeterminate species. They almost look like humans, with some obvious exceptions: their skin and hair colors were off, among other things. Zhanzeng cautious approached, waving a hand their way to show that she wasn't a threat to them . . . as if someone of her miniscule strength could threaten them if she chose to do so, "Hey there! You happen to know what happened here? Looks like quite the mess . . . doesn't seem like an blaze took this place out. These buildings wouldn't burn." She motioned towards the ruins behind her. These two made her feel a bit worried, but she didn't know why.
This wasn’t a first for Kowlin, even his healing magic couldn’t save the man. When it came to the dangerous nature of the world, even his healing couldn’t save everyone. Kowlin’s ears had twitch at the sound of footsteps and his eyes shifted accordingly. He would rise to his feet and have his arms to his back as Quinn had joined him. Kowlin would be the first to speak up.
“We don’t know what happen here but we have our suspicions that the suspect is a konatsian.”
Based on what the man had explained to them just before his passing, the only race he knew that could turn to monsters and that had pointed ears were the konatsians. Quinn would respond as she casually looked around at the buildings that the girl had mentioned.
“If we are going to put a stop to this individual, we need to further enter the city to understand it all.”
Quinn and Kowlin started to walk into the city. Kowlin would head over to another victim, while Quinn was fairly close to the girl and smiling.
Kowlin kneeling before the victim who was an old sentry.
“What happen here?”
The old sentry coughed before looking into Kowlin’s eyes.
“He was a menace. He came here seeking aid and before we could help him.. he went mad and transformed… he became a beast and destroyed this kingdom with his magic..”
Kowlin and his hand to his chin. Pondering at the thought.

Zhanzeng listened with a stern look upon her face, finding her mental assumption was correct: these two had nothing to do with what occurred here today. But one word did intrigue her quite a bit: "What in the world is a Konatsian? Never heard of them before . . . some sort of alien, I presume?" If that was truly the culprit, then they truly must be monstrous beings. No normal creature could cause this much destruction so easily and willingly! Of course, anyone strong enough could do all this, but considering that she hadn't felt anything major in this area, she doubted it was anything as normal as a strong, angry human.
She nodded in agreement about their plan of action, walking beside them as the headed deeper into the ruins. She kept her guard up, and was alert as they traveled into the wrecked city. When the reached the Old Sentry, and Kowlin began to question him, she looked towards Quinn with a curious look, "This really is a mess, isn't it? Never seen anything quite like this before." Zhanzeng let a soft smile compliment her features as he eyed the other woman, "My name is Zhanzeng, by the way. Zhanzeng Daiyu. Who're you and your companion here?" She motioned towards the other, still talking to the injured sentry.
“Konatsians are an off world race similar to humans. What makes them different is that they have pointed ears and know magic. Similar to demons but less chaotic in nature. Some konatsian even have demons inside of them. So there’s that and also they are from the planet Konats.”
Kowlin would smirk as he continued to investigate the area. Meanwhile Quinn would add on to what they were.
“We are shinjin, we also come from an entirely different world but we come from a realm where everyone goes when they die. Which is otherworld. Also my name is Quinn and my partner over here is Kowlin.”
As Kowlin was investigating, the King of this kingdom had arrived with two of his royal guards.
“I don’t suppose you travelers have come to aid us in our endeavor?”
Kowlin would look to the king and have both his hands to his hips.
“We precisely did come to help you guys. Are you aware of a Prince that is a konatsian that has come here?”
The king looked puzzled as he stroked his majestic white beard.
“I’m sorry but this konatsian didn’t look like a Prince at all. He wore desert attire.”

She listened to the explanations, and gave a nod in understanding after the other finished. So they are aliens of sorts . . . she hasn't met any aliens before, so it is all still rather strange to her. Being locked up within a compound most of her life starved her of interactions with other participants in this vast, life-filled universe.
"Ah, I see. Konatsians are aliens and so are you two, no offense." If any could be taken from her ignorant words, "It's nice to meet both of you, though I wish we could have met under different circumstances! This is a very depressing way to meet anyone." Zhanzeng scratched the back of her head as they walked deeper in the ruins, "I'm a human, if it wasn't obvious." She said with a small, straight smile on her face. It was hard to smile when surrounded by so much devastation.
She listened to the King and Kowlin exchange words before she decided to speak up, "Err . . . your highness, is there anything we--" Zhanzeng motioned towards the figures of Quinn and Kowlin, "could do to help around here? There have to be survivors around here, at least a few." She assumed these two would assist her in helping the destroyed kingdom. She would be disappointed otherwise. How could anyone with a good conscience possibly ignore the pleas of injured beings, even if they are of an entirely different realm and race?
Being told that they were aliens wasn’t exactly a lie since they were foreign, but to delve into the history of the shinjin and how they were born would prove to be too much information and strange to tell a being such as this that they came from a fruit. Kowlin would look to the girl and smiled.
“You can explore more worlds other than this planet. You will meet more people who are truly out of this world. But if I may give you a small piece of advice. Avoid planet Plant for now, since they are having an ongoing war at the moment.”
Then the conversation shifted to the King, who twirled his beard before speaking to the three of them.
“This monster wasn’t alone however. After causing serious damage to us, two others came to his aid after he reverted back to normal and they headed North from here. I had two of my scouts follow them and to report back to me. They haven’t came back and now I’m worried. If you guys could find them, I would think they would be able to give you more information.”

Visiting other planets? . . . That idea had never crossed her mind before. Having lived a mostly sheltered life on this planet, the one called Earth, she had never thought about what other planets might be like or what's going on there. It may be something she will want to do in the future, but now? No, "Ah. Thanks for the advice, Kowlin. I'll keep that in mind if I ever, uh, have the chance to travel across space." She scratched her head a bit, knowing that time would not be coming any time soon.
She listened intently to the King's response. Lost scouts, looking for the perpetrator of this. She would have preferred to help out around here, but if that's all the monarch could think of: "We'll look for the scouts, and bring 'em back if they are still alive. I sure hope they are." She smiled softly towards the elderly King, "Do you know the direction they went? That'd help our search a lot." It would. Considering they had nothing else to go on,
Before the King could answer, but not to interrupt him, she turned her head to Kowlin: "You sure we can deal with this Konatsian if we find him?"
As Kowlin ventured forward to the North location he could automatically detect fainted ki signatures that were nearby and as they was venturing forward, Kowlin was asked a question as he let out a light smirk.
"I have lived centuries and from what I have learned over the course of living that long, I have learned many races and when it comes to the mystic beings of the konatsians who use magic and their counterparts Kashvar who uses dark magic. The konatsians are rather neutral individuals with some of them being good in nature. Though they are evil konatsians that align with the Kashvar. In terms of strength, their strength comes from the monsters that they have within their bodies. Very dangerous creatures that could easily rival that of a demon. So our best bet is to be very careful when it comes to the Konatsians. Since there are more of them than suspected, we have to be on guard. If one of them could do that much damage, imagine what a group could do."
As they finally arrived at the location, Kowlin spotting the two scouts and immediately rushing over to them as he began to use his healing abilities to heal them up. It was enough to get them stable and to talk. One of them spoke with a harsh cough.
"Those three konatsians, they went on ahead to the North. They are planning to use the relics that they stole from us to summon an entity that is strong enough to destroy more cities.... You have to hurry..."

She listened as they made their way through the north gate to look for the missing scouts. She also felt the faint ki signatures, and hoped that they wouldn't dissipate like so many within the city had.
"Ah. I see." Zhanzeng looked between the two Shinjin for a moment, "Let's hope we can deal with them, then. I'm not as strong as you Kowlin, but I'm sure I can be of some help. I've been trained from a young age in the martial arts and have quite a bit of skill." Lots of skill, but lacking raw experience; "Those who underestimate me find themselves in hot water when I show them the error of their ways." She grinned to herself, thinking of those times in the past . . . but the grin would be washed away as the scouts were finally found. She rushed forward only to be overtaken by Kowlin, who used some magic to heal their wounds. She hadn't seen anything like that before . . . these Shinjin are very interesting people.
Zhanzeng looked towards the North. She couldn't feel any energy signatures ahead, which meant the Konatsians were likely suppressing their power to stay stealthy. "I think we should go quickly. We can't let them summon whatever they are going to summon."
Kowlin had traveled up to the location where he spotted the other konatsians. Two in total and from the looks of it, none of them looked like royalty but instead looking like typical desert bandits. Kowlin was quick to vanish from his position which was 10ft away from the three of them, to now being 5ft away from them and blocking the passage. One of the konatsian spoke, being the more taller and muscular of the two, he spoke with a deep voice while having both his eyes covered by a cloth.
“Who goes there?”
Kowlin looked at the man, as much as the man tried to hide the deep scars on both his eyes, the scars came all the way down to his jawline.
“You two were involved in the destruction of the city nearby.”
The muscular man nodded, before getting into a fighting stance.
“Lord Mendra’s doing. The dawn of a new age is upon us.”
Kowlin spoke, looking at the muscular man and his skinnier counterpart that was missing a left limb.
“Are either of you Prince Valerian?”
The skinner man looked at his partner with a puzzled stare.
“Prince Valerian? Why do you speak of a missing man?”
The muscular man had butted in with a sly smirk.
“Rumors have it the Prince died elsewhere.”
Kowlin had a raised brow.
“You two won’t be going anywhere.”
The two konatsians had smirked.
“We waited for your arrivals…”
The muscular blind konatsian has begun to transform to a 10ft demonic red skin beast. The loss eyes he once had were replace with demon eyes. He would dash straight for Kowlin and with a strong right hook, he would impact Kowlin’s blocked arms against his chest and push him straight into the ground. Meanwhile the skinner konatsian was now a dark blue colored beast and being 10ft in height with a new limb that was pink in color but still the same size and power behind it. The blue beast would go after the girl.

Zhanzeng couldn't quite keep up with Kowlin once he seemingly teleported to block the travel of the two Konatsian bandits. The human made it to the location of the brewing confrontation right when the first of the two transformed into a terrifying creature, a monster . . . one that she could see bringing destruction to the city to the south, still smoldering from the fires. She quickly got into a fighting stance as Kowlin was bum-rushed, and was prepared for an attack by the time the second Konatsian came her way.
She grinned at his boldness. He was slow; slow enough for her to side step him with ease, only to swing a muscular leg right into his exposed flank. The blue beast howled in pain and tried to swing a meaty first into her face. The attack would meet only air as she swiftly dodged the attempted strike, "I expected more from a famed Konatsian, eh?" Her left leg began to glow as she concentrated energy into the limb, "Let's see how you like this!" With a certain grace, Zhanzeng did a clean backflip . . . and her foot collided with the chin of the creature right on target. He stumbled back, and then collapsed to the ground with a groan. Blood leaked from the beast's mouth, and he was out of the fight. She truly did expect more. Finally finished with her foe, she looked to see how Kowlin was doing with his.
Kowlin would focus on his opponent, the red beast was indeed much stronger than the blue beast and he knew that he had to do something in order to put this red beast down and continue his investigation. Dodging left and right at the incoming swings, the beast had opened its mouth and fired a beam straight for Kowlin.
Kowlin had quickly placed both his hands forward and catching the beam as both his feet were now digging into the Earth to the point where his ankles were covered. As he finally got a grip onto the ground and placed his knees forward in a crouch type of position, he was able to continue to hold it as sweat came pouring from his face. This fight was no joke and he wasn’t laughing. Finally, Kowlin was quick to jump up into the air as the beam had crashing into the ground. Now aiming his hand straight for the beast, he fired a grand size dark matter ball at the beast. Who then caught it and the ball exploding immediately. The poor man was knocked out in the process and reverted back to his base form.
Kowlin would look at his partner and showed a thumbs up.
“Good work. Let’s get going.”
Kowlin would take the lead and as they got to an abandoned altar, the Konatsian that had actually done this mess was already in mid prayer. He would casually looked over his shoulder.
“Seems like they couldn’t stop you both from coming here.”

Zhanzeng was impressed by her companion's dealings with the red beast. She knew that had he targeted her instead, she wouldn't have stood much of a chance against it. She return the thumbs-up and cracked a grin towards him, "Good work!" She hoped neither would be stirring anytime soon. Complete focus was needed if they were to deal with the third Konatsian, especially if the supposed 'ritual' succeeds in it's purpose.
She would nod and follow, moving as swiftly as she could. She was prepared for a fight against a stronger opponent . . . she assumed that this man would have her outclassed, but she wouldn't sit idly by while Kowlin did all the fighting. Zhanzeng wanted to enact some revenge on this Konatsian; she couldn't let the destruction of that city go unpunished, regardless of how little she knows about the people of the town far behind them. Those poor, poor people . . .
There he was, praying at some sort of altar. She looked over at Kowlin, "Is this the guy you've been looking for, Kowlin?" She asked with a raised brow. She wouldn't let her guard down, not for a moment. She was prepared to fight! "Are we to arrest him or something?"
Kowlin had raised a brow. Based off the description he was given prior to the man who was looking for the Prince, the information was that he had light blue hair, three straight line marks on his face and light blue eyes. The man before him didn’t fit the description at all. This man had flowing black hair with pointed ears. Kowlin had shouted at the man.
“Are you Prince Valerian?”
Mendra had turned to face the man after he finished his praying.
“Why are you looking for a missing royal?”
This man didn’t have the answers either and from the looks of it, he was starting to do something sinister since Kowlin could feel the air.
“What exactly are you doing here?”
The man didn’t want to talk further since he could feel his two partners power level being gone. The man was quick to summon a giant size black monster with four limbs, and a long giant size tongue that hanged out. This beast was 15ft in scale and immediately rushed over to Kowlin who was quick to jump towards the beast and shoot a dark matter blast that got quickly deflected back at Kowlin with his tongue and then punched in the torso which had caused Kowlin to fly straight back to the ground. If he was going to win this fight he needed the help from his teammate.
