There are those mortal souls who are cast into the Demon Realm in order to be locked away as they are deemed to dangerous for Hell, there are those banished there to prevent their rotted fruit from harming creation, and then there are those who are simply born in this sordid abyss and call it their natural home. Qarinah is of the latter.
When she first left the Demon Realm, she somehow wound up in Hell and decided to spend a while there causing havoc as she saw fit. Most of the time she spent there, she preyed on souls stupid enough to wander near the Bramble Woods, draining their energies as they struggled in vain as they hoped for rescue by the Ogre patrols. As far as she was concerned, they were simply food for her to consume. But there were times when a soul would come into Hell with their body, and from them she discovered a new pleasure to extract from these more powerful beings.
Blood.
The very essence of life itself, oh how sweet the flavour was to her. But not every being that came to Hell that held onto their body was so... accommodating as to allow Qarinah to drink them dry. So she learned and trained herself to be undetectable to their senses, developing and honing techniques that could let her drain them of their strength to make her task of taking their blood so much easier.
It wasn't until some time later that the Demon discovered that there were those who could use blood for other purposes besides consumption, and Qarinah came to a delightful conclusion. She would hunt down mortals that fit her "clients" specifications and acquire their blood. Some for her own tastes and proclivities, and some for the ones who desired it for their own purposes... And so she set off for the living world to do just that, with her first port of call being the war torn world of Plant where there were plenty of fine vintages to uncork and bottle for purchase~
And who would miss a warrior or three in the middle of a planet-scale war?
COMBAT INFORMATION
TECHNIQUES: You start with Three Standard Technique Slots that you can use any way you like. Some species start out with an additional slot. You also start with two additional Utility Technique Slots. These are for unique effects, such as Ki Sense or Magic Materialization, which aren't specifically tied to combat.

One of her few ranged techniques, Qarinah creates a tether between herself and her target for a brief time in order to drain a portion of their strength into herself.

The vampiric demon makes physical contact with her opponent in some way, and through the use of her magic causes internal injuries to rupture inside the body of her victim.

Sometimes she needs to quickly escape, and so Qarinah conjures an illusion of a massive swarm of bats to blind her opponent(s) in order to attempt to get away.
This allows you to attempt to escape any thread or travel between splits in an Action Thread more safely. In order to stop you, a player must use a technique that is superior in power to your Bat Swarm. You cannot undo your escape via Bat Swarm if you are successful, but you can use KP to defend if it is overcome
