The more Ward was finding the distraction amusing the less this stranger seemed to be interested in dealing with him. It was true he wasn't looking for a fight, and he was glad he hadn't been forced into violence given the situation, but he was on the fence about what to do now. The only way he wasn't going to force anything onto this person was likely through some sort of violence, so unless he could think of something better than to drone on in a way that neither would like, he needed to think of something. He was also well aware that starting a fight here without the intention of specifically capturing this person would be frowned upon, and even if he did capture him, what would he truly do with them? It's not as if they were dead, so they wouldn't be locked up somewhere in hell, and they hadn't killed anyone, so what really was there to do?
"You are surprisingly honest. I expected more arguments, simply trying to convince me to let you leave. Though I will correct, the person you injured was by no means under my protection, simply this realm is more my home, and as such I feel responsible for the people, even if it's not expected of me. It's no duty of mine to protect anyone here."
Now he had a choice, and one he wasn't keen on making. Perhaps a fight with this individual could prove interesting, maybe even a good bit of training, but was it worth it? At this point if they were going to fight it would be Ward himself starting it essentially with the decision to do so, meaning he would be responsible for any damage done, anyone else hurt during said fight, and how worth it would it be. Looking around them for a few moment, he took in the scenery, rubbing his chin in contemplation before turning back.
"Perhaps we could fight and the determination of what to do could be handled after that."
His arms raised as the ground shook under them both, Ward with a look of deep concentration of his face as his arms raised further and slower. A large circular wall shot up out of the ground around them both some hundred yards in any direction. After a moment a larger wall around that, then another, creating a shelf between each until around ten walls total were surrounding them.
"That should do. Give us some room to move. So, shall we fight?"
