Forgotten Jungle -

Living in this jungle had been the closest thing to home for the Heran ever since landing on this strange remote world. Though there were none of these gigantic apex predators lying in wait like on planet Hera, hunters were very much present. After realizing that the people on this planet were not very dangerous by themselves, he had lowered his guard. A dangerous sin to be certain, sloth had dulled Dosu’s senses as he went on his daily life of not doing much but basic hunting and exploration. The nomadic hunter, one good night, fell asleep in this very jungle.

When he came to, he was in a net, hanging in the air as his prison was attached to one sturdy tree branch. Whether this was caused by the Heran getting awfully lazy and rusty, or through some hunting expertise on his captor’s part, both options were equally possible. For now, he thought it wouldn’t be so sad to just hang there while he was resting and once, he grew tired, he could simply get out by tearing it apart.

As the hunter came back, it seemed his hunt had been fruitful once more, for he brought back yet another victim of his trap. A young, peach-skinned individual (to no surprise, this specific race seemed to be abundant on this planet). Dosu, sitting in his net, welcomed both his captor and the new prey.

“Hello. I just woke up. Got anything to eat?”

People who would capture instead of kill did so because they saw an inherent value in those they captured. Whether it was to sell as slaves to ask for ransom, reasons were plenty. As such, the Heran was pretty confident he was in no real danger. Looking to the other guy in the net, he told him.

“This is pretty comfy for what it is. You’ll see.”

Sticking his arms and legs out of the net, he began swinging from front to back, slowly, as he waited for developments.

Interestingly enough, this was the first time anyone recognized who he was on first sight ever since landing on this world. He was a Heran alright, a proud one on top of that. On the other hand, Dosu really had no idea who he was talking to. As he watched the man being lifted up on the same tree, he eventually replied.

“Yup, I’m from Hera. I guess that makes me a Heran. I got lost and ended up here, so I’m not doing much besides hunting. What are you?”

Given his temporary resting in this net, he could spare a little conversation to his fellow prisoner. That was until another alien approached, eating what appeared to be the very same dinosaur he had hunted before being captured! He had been robbed of his prey!

“Hey! That’s mine! I hunted it!”

Of course, it wouldn’t stay like that, but right now, there was no point getting all angry for something that was lost for good. While he simply protested, his eyes gave off that look of slight annoyance. Back on Hera, that was not something someone would do. Thieves met their death relatively soon, as long as they were found. Being robbed in broad daylight like this, ah, he was just asking for it.

Some arguing about race took place between the black-haired guy and the others. All of it, gibberish he had no interest in. Human? Saiyan? Just what was that, exactly? Prison? It was when he was freed that Dosu began showing interest again, just to be tied up with the other guy, by the wrist. How odd, he thought.

“How should I know? What’s a prison, anyway?”

Since he was not exactly bored yet, he figured he might as well find out what it was. As he tried moving his cuffed arm, a surge of electricity shook him up, his body convulsing under the voltage he had been administered. His entire body felt numb, before hurting. He fell to one knee, catching his breath.

Battle Hunger activates! Upon taking damage, Dosu's PL goes from 5k to 8k

“Wha…what did you do to me?”

His eyes met with Yakone’s, his frown indicating he was less than happy with what just happened. Seeing as they were near each other, he couldn’t think of anyone else responsible for this.
