Phakk let out a groan as she moved to sink into the warm, steamy and bubbling waters of the hot spring before her. Her purple hair was outside of its usual buns, and splayed around her in the water and on the volcanic rock behind her. All over her body slash and burn marks could be seen, even if right now they were mostly obscured by the water. A sigh of contentment leaves the girl as she simply soaks in the near scalding temperatures, made raspy by the burn mark around her throat from Tiamat's atta- No. No thinking of Tiamat. She shakes her head. This was her moment. The battle was over, and she hadn't been able to help the Mazoku. And that... that was okay. Yeah. Every loss is just an opportunity in disguise, after all! She could come back later when they saw how she meant well, and then everything would be just great!
Speaking of just great, the Shinjin continues to melt into a puddle from the heat, alleviating the stress and damage across her body. Not all was done by those she had fought either, although her arm was tingly from where Crotona had slice through the Dark's. No, some of the damage she had done to herself as she fought. The Dark had pushed her body too far during its takeover, and in the proccess her stupid magic had torn her muscles to the point where it was hard to move in general without the aid of Ward or the very magic that had put her in that state to begin with. Another sigh leaves the woman, before she stares down and into the bubbles. She knew that she should be thinking that it was cool. All the coolest video game characters had an uber secret dark side that, when used, lets them win fights they couldn't. It was so awesome when it was on the T.V.
But... this... wasn't the television. This was life. Her life, and despite her logic telling her she should be grateful for something so powerful... Really she just didn't want it. At ALL. She didn't want its whispers, its destructive urges, the way her magic sought to hurt others, the- The things it murmured at the back of her mind to do. She didn't want any of it. All she wanted was to just spend time with her friends, and live a normal life like how she'd seen when in her house. But it wouldn't let her. And she found herself rather powerless to resist it on such a topic.
Really, it was enough to make her cry, as a few sniffles can be heard.
