The Earth-born Saiyan lost track of how long he was away. Two weeks? Three? The days all seemed to fold in on one another while he was on the green marble known as Namek. The memories he made on that world played out like a movie of life events in his head. While the void of space physically laid out before him as his ship made its course, Kombu could almost see what he had witnessed on his relatively short visit.
This time around, the Saiyan could have the time to admire the enamoring beauty of the cosmos. He saw some nebulae that exploded with color. Billions upon trillions of stars seemed to stand still no matter how far Kombu journeyed. But he knew, of course, that they weren't physically staying still. He had studied in school, after all. No, aside from his vessel physically flying through space, the stars and other bodies had been moving at millions of miles an hour as they all rotated around the center of the North Galaxy.
And what rested at the center of the Galaxy? A Quasar, like all galaxies. A massive luminescent entity believed to be powered by a massive Black Hole. And yet miraculously, all things that encircled it did not seem to fall into the Event Horizon, the Black Hole's center of mass.
It all fascinated Kombu's inquisitive mind. He watched the viewing port before his bridge on the Command Deck. Though, he felt lonely. He eyed the seats to his left and right. He was all alone on this massive ship. Why did he even buy it in the first place? For possible future events, of course. If the Saiyan had ever formed a team of some kind to explore the Universe and help people where they went, Kombu wished to be prepared.
Soon he could see it. The Saiyan leaned forward in his seat excitedly as Earth seemed to grow bigger and bigger before his very eyes.
"I'm home," he sighed with a smile.
Kombu punched in some commands on his control panel. "Take her in nice and easy," he murmured. "Wouldn't want to crash like with my space pod."
The planet's gravity took hold of the ship. Then, the Saiyan's vessel punched through the atmosphere. Its mass and shape had made the planetary entry relatively easy. He could hardly feel any turbulence while the ship's hull became caked with heat. And soon, it dissipated. The large saucer-shaped ship slowed to roughly forty miles per hour. It hovered over the ocean of the Southern Tropics and cast a shadow upon the islands it passed over. Finally, Kombu spotted an ample enough space to land.
The landing legs protruded from their housings on the side of the ship. The Cruiser took it slowly, hovering down until touchdown. The hatchway soon opened, and a ramp came down to allow its passenger to exit. And out came Kombu, dressed in fresh Namekian clothes. It was all he had, after all, being on Namek for so long.
As excited as he was, Kombu couldn't help but run down the ramp at top speeds until skidding to a halt on the green tropical grass! A huge grin remained affixed on his face. His hands were clenched excitedly!
"I'm finally back!" he cheered! "I need to go see mom and dad and let them know I got back safely!"
