Kowlin wasn't the religious type, given that he's a shinjin. Though, he did do his daily rituals. An abandoned ruin temple, which had clearly seen better days. Stood at what appeared to be the center of the North and nothing but cold air and whistling winds brushing towards the South. Within the ruin walls that seemed like they would break down any moment and the doors always off their hinges with no ceiling to call it a temple, would be Kowlin. He stood in front of, what appeared to be blood. A pentagram with nine chakra symbols stood around the outer circle. Staring at it for a brief second, he now laid on the ground and looking through his black mask. The clouds moving together in unison as the gray skies were making themselves known. Though no rain would be present in this cold environment, it gave clear indication that it was time. The ritual had begun and Kowlin began to mutter words underneath his breath. Though it would appear to be in soft whispers and inaudible to anyone who was nearby, he spoke.
"I call your name in my darkest time"
"I call your name in my brightest moment"
"I am no mortal or the common man"
"I am a deity among the living and the dead."
"I will serve you until the end of time"
"Lord, give me your sign"
Just like that, a black rod had appeared within the circle itself and he kneeled before it. He immediately impaled his chest as he felt the warm blood. The same process he would think as he would perform this ritual. Was this what mortals felt when they were struck a blow this fatal? He pulled the rod out and a beaming of red light came from the skies themselves like a gate would open up and struck Kowlin. The Dark matter within his body began to seal up the wound he had dealt to himself. A voice commanded within his own mind.
Interior Mind
He had closed his eyes as he accepted the red light going against the fabric of his clothing and body. Upon opening his eyes, he now looked at an almighty figure before him. Covered in crimson red robes with gold cuffs. No face but a shadow being present behind the hood. It spoke in a loud tone of voice.
"You have called me Kowlin."
This was no question or curiosity, the figures tone of voice was adamant.
"I have killed over one hundred mortals for you today."
Appearing before the shadowy figure would be a shadowy clipboard as the figure started to cross out the names of those mortals.
"Unbiased I see, their alignment didn't matter nor their age."
"To serve you there can be no bias only one goal."
"You have learned well Kowlin, continue to serve."
Kowlin nodded.
He opened his eyes as he looked like a standing statue for anyone who would be nearby to watch. His wound was fully healed and he tossed the rod to the side that had immediately turned to coal dust. The pentagram on the ground with the nine chakra symbols had also faded as well. Kowlin stood at the temple with the now dried up blood on his torso area.
