Kombu was quite surprised by the sheer power of the mysterious Sparking Fuel he had used to aid in his Battle Pod's trip through the wondrous cosmos. The trip was so quick; he only had enough time for a short nap. And even then, it felt like his pod's flight only lasted mere minutes after departing from his home on Earth.
"Well," he mused to himself as he watched the reflection of the green planet on his view window, "at least I'll get to see Master Tiamat soon. I hope she's not too worried about me." The Saiyan exhaled a quick sigh. "I'm just eager to start my training again and get stronger."
The Battle Pod trembled with turbulence. A few creaks in the metal resounded around the Saiyan. But he did not fret; he had all of the confidence in the world that his ship would survive the pressures of entering the atmosphere. Its circular design was built for such a purpose, after all. Although, the only thing Kombu did have to worry about was the landing. Whoever designed these pods didn't take parachutes into account or any external forces that could slow one's descent to a planet below. In hindsight, the Saiyan engineers made these vessels with conquering worlds in mind. Hence, a small one-person pod could crash on a world as quickly as possible, leaving the enemy little time to react.
Kombu's eyes soon reflected the fiery red flames that surrounded his pod now that it entered Namek's Mesosphere. The pod itself began to heat up. A few droplets of sweat took form on Kombu's brow, which he wiped away with his left glove. More rattling and shaking ensued. The turbulence grew worse. And yet, Kombu stayed calm nestled in his cushioned seat. Not only did he trust his ship, but his own durability as well.
It would appear as though a meteor was dancing across the sky with a fire trail behind it to those on the ground. However, those more seasoned members of the Namek species would instantly recognize it as a space pod normally used by the Saiyans. One older Namekian, in particular, would grumble to himself as he watched the ship descend through the sky.
The fire finally dissipated from the spherical ship. The ground was coming up fast. And soon enough, the Battle Pod collided into the ground. Instead of forming a crater, its momentum carried it across the grass in a lonely field. It left a trail of upturned roots and dirt in its wake before grinding to a stop. Steam from the heat billowed from the ship while it cooled in the fairer temperatures of the planet. And with a hiss, the door to the pod opened. A blinding light hit Kombu's eyes before they adjusted to the new environment. Both hands gripped either side of the opening so the Saiyan could hoist himself out of his ship.
His feet hit the ground with a soft scuff. Kombu then stretched out his arms and then arched his back to loosen the muscles near his lumbar.
"So. This is Namek."
