Flip's PL: 5,000
Malcom grunted as he was slammed back against the wall, letting out a wracking cough, coughing up a small amount of blood, and causing pain to shoot through his ribs. Malcom was a pretty well built guy. He took care of himself. But that only got you so far when several thugs ganged up on you and beat you senseless with baseball bats. With one eye swelled shut, he tried his best to glare at the thugs surrounding him. One last desperate attempt at brovado.
"So, this is the one huh?
Malcom watched as the thugs parted, showing a young man in a rather stylish white suit and a bowler hat. With one eye peeking out behind orange hair, the man smirked, bringing up a cane to tilt Malcom's battered face to get a better look. "Hmm, certainly looks like the stupid type." Malcom snarled. "Let me guess. You're that Forto guy people are talking about." Flip's eyes narrowed. "Flip Fortuna," he corrected, "And the very same. And, when me and my boys here put someone under our protection, I take it very seriously." He pulled back and turned his back to him. "So, when I heard some pompous littler bastard trashed Feccini's, well, I had to do somethin' about it." He glanced back at the beaten young man. "And you know what? I don't think we've done quite enough yet."
"What should we do with him sir?" one of the thugs asked. Flip tilted his head in thought. "Just so long as he's able to tell others about it, go nuts." He gave a cruel smirk, "Note I'm sayin' alive. Not necassarily in one piece."
Shoga wandered the streets of Yahhoy Port idly, wishing for a way to kill some time. He had intended to move on from this place earlier, but he'd been forced to stay a little longer after all the injuries he sustained in his first "encounter" in town. Even just at a glance, it was obvious that Shoga had been in a fight not too long ago. His body was covered in bandaged scrapes and deep purple bruises, and his right hand was in a cast. He definitely wasn't doing any traveling until he had healed up a bit. He was just about to give up on finding something to do when a familiar sound reached Shoga's ears: The sound of a fight. It's about damn time! he thought, as a grin spread across his face. Even injured, Shoga couldn't resist the urge to go have a look. Especially when he was this bored! He took off at a run towards the sound, forgetting his doctor's orders to rest entirely.
Rounding a corner, Shoga was treated to the sight of a bunch of thugs beating on somebody with bats. Clicking his tongue in disappointment, he raised his voice a bit to announce his presence. "Aw man, you went and got my hopes up." Shoga shook his head sadly before continuing, "Here I thought there was a real fight goin' on over here, but it was just a buncha losers who can't fight on their own." he said, without even a hint of sarcasm in his voice. By all appearances, his disappointment was genuine. As he began to walk towards the group, Shoga took stock of the men in front of him. He couldn't sense a single real fighter amongst the group, but something was off about the guy in the fancy clothes. His ki wasn't anything special, but Shoga's instincts were telling him that this guy was dangerous, somehow. And he was weirdly familiar, now that Shoga got a good look at him. He couldn't quite place it.
"Why don't you clear off? Yer blocking the sidewalk."

As the voice suddenly spoke up behind the ground, Flip and his men turned to see the young man slowly approaching thrm. Despite his words seeming to be mockery, the look on his face showed he truly was disappointed in what he saw. One of Flip's men growled. "What did you say punk?" He growled, taking a step towards him.
Flip's cane stopped him in his tracks. "Hold your horses," he said, though his eyes were firmly locked on the newcomer. "We can take him boss!" the man protested. Flip shook his head. "No, you can't." Flip had a knack of reading people with a glance. This guy wasn't just some fight happy punk. He was strong. Stronger than his men could handle. His men recognized this, taking a step back. They trusted their boss' judgment.
Flip gave his trademark smile and stepped forward. "Boy, what we have here is a simple case of retribution being delivered here. So unless you happen to be associated with our friend here," he gestured to Malcolm, who was looking very relieved someone turned up, "Then I suggest you go around and be on your way."
Flip's men may not be able to take him, but Flip was another matter.
Shoga chuckled to himself when the apparent leader of the group stepped up to the plate and told him to be on his way. "Associated? Who, that guy? Nah, I got no clue who that is." he said dismissively, not even sparing a glance for the poor guy. That wasn't why he was here. "But see, ya caught me in a bad mood." Shoga waved his injured arm, leaving no question as to why he was in such a mood. "And I been cooped up in the hospital for so long, I was hopin' for a little entertainment. But this sorry buncha peons obviously can't hack it. You're some kinda local tough guy, right? Why don'tcha be a pal and help me shake the rust off?"
Shoga took up a fighting stance, letting his ki erupt from his body in a fiery blue aura. Shoga had no intention of taking no for an answer. He was already pissed after that poor performance that got his hand all messed up, and he needed somebody to vent his frustrations on. This lowlife would do. "I can't smell any strength on ya, but somethin' tells me you've got tricks up your sleeve. Call it instincts." Shoga put his arms out to his sides, as if welcoming the gangster to take the first shot. "So c'mon, show me somethin'. I ain't leaving until I'm satisfied."

Flip listened to the young man talk, and if the crime boss had to be honest, well, he wasn't exactly impressed with what he was seeing. Some tough guy who got himself beat up, and was now trying to heal his bruised ego. Flip had a feeling that it was going to end up black and blue by the end of it all. Sure, the guy wasn't exactly weak, but being in such a banged up state couldn't possibly be doing him any favors. Such a reckless attitude normally increased the beatings before they lessened them.
And then came the burst of ki. He should have figured the guy could use ki. Flip's men took a step back, but the man himself remained cool. Flip had seen this sort of thing before. An intimidation tactic, trying to psyche out your opponent. But Flip didn't get where he was by letting himself get intimidated. Especially by ki users.
Flip smirked. "Well, if it's a trip back to the hospital, well, I'd be happy to oblige. You look like someone who could use a little humility beaten into him." If the guy was going to underestimate him due to his lack of ki, he was in for a rude awakening.
Flip closed the gap in an instant, putting himself directly in front of Shoga. His body was close to the ground, his twin guns drawn. One of which was now pointed up at the underside of Shoga's chin.
