As soon as the connection was made, Tiamat could feel the wickedness oozing from Virus's presence. She couldn't even tell that kind of monster that was, it seemed to be an unnatural amalgamation that was barely held together by a bloodlust that knew no bounds. Saying it was repelling would be an understatement, but it was a little too late not to stop the exercise. She had to hold that connection long enough for Liari to properly understand its components, and how to realistically hold it herself, which was the whole point of this teaching... although, with her empathy senses, she could feel that learning was not on Liari's mind and that Kazam was more sad and terrified than anything else.
When the psychic scream began, Tiamat was blown away by the boiling anger and desire to inflict pain coming out of Liari. After a few seconds of intense dread she felt as a result of her adoptive daughter's tantrum, she broke off the connection with Virus, which was already a weight off her shoulders.
'' Liari.''
She said firmly as she walked over to her adoptive daughter, a few decisive steps. When she would be close to her, she would send a slap across her face. It wasn't with much force, just enough to 'wake up' Liari in some way.
'' What are you doing?! Can't you see your friend's state right now? Did you not think we would both hear what you unleashed on your foe just now?! I'm trying to teach you how to stay in contact with me so that you could always call for me in times of need, but you used that to hurt someone, without even considering it would hurt not only me but your friend as well? Explain yourself, young girl!''
It might have been the first time Liari saw Tiamat angry since the first time they met. The blue majin had not been herself for a while now, and there was a limit to how many red flags a mother could overlook before needing to act, and that was it.
With her right hand, Tiamat would gently reach to Kuzam, who she could feel was in distress right now. She did it by instinct, she felt it was right... and maybe she knew, deep down, that he was just another part of Liari, one that needed her attention at the moment.
