Anti Sense is on.
Royal Starship Present.
Near Diablo Desert, on the Shore
Things had gotten quiet for a few days after getting Shako back in the waters. Alaistair was trying to keep tabs on Rensou, in the hopes that his little map trick was working properly. He was definitely not able to spy on him, to see if he could learn. No, it was meant to map the region faster and find out where there were civilizations and where there weren't. The faster he could learn the land, the better. With those people in the Dirty Snakes now being partners with Alaistair, he had to show his own merits!
Alaistair had been in the command bridge, reviewing the map he tried to link with Rensou's, back when they were on the ship. He'd gotten a big mug of coffee and the AC inside the vessel was blasting to make the room a comfortable 73 Fahrenheit. Shako, of course, was keeping an eye on things in the immediate vicinity. Meanwhile, he'd been also scanning more of his parts, seeing what was changed and what he was able to do now. He'd come across a discovery, which made him bellow out in anguish.
"Are- ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!"
Alaistair sighed, looking up from the map and lifting the coffee closer to his mouth as he went to the door leading into the bridge. He asked the ship, "What is it, Shako?"
"Guess what I just discovered in me... Just, guess. Take a gander at what could get me riled up this time!"
"You're easily angered by things involving yourself, so I'm gonna guess it's something wrong with you," Al replied, sipping lightly from the plain white mug, "Did you find a gash in your hull we didn't see when we were lifting you in?"
"No... Wait, you got me curi- No wait wait, this is more important," Shako uttered, his focus being thrown off as he shifted his face from the front of the ship to the bridge, sliding quickly over to hang over the door, "You know how I flew so quickly through the water to this damn desert..?"
"Yeah. You got a engine upgrade to plow through the water. So what?"
"Yeah, I flew..."
"I don't follow."
Shako brought his face closer to Alaistair, settling on the wall closest to the Captain, "I... FLEW."
Alaistair rose an eyebrow.
'He flew? So what? He can move really... Wait.'
Alaistair lowered the mug to his chest and sucked his lips in as he looked around at the ground in front as he processed what Shako stated. He bit his sucked in lower lip before muttering, "Are you telling me you can... Fly? Fly fly."
"I'm pretty sure I found some parts that are making me say YES."
"... Okay, so I have an idea I wanna do if what you're saying is true. I'll get to raving in the moment, BUT FIRST-"
Later that day, in West City
The Sun was burning brightly above the West City, super heating the roadways. It'd been midday and was already 101 Fahrenheit with it still steadily climbing. It was anticipated that by 5 in the evening, it'd climb to 123 due to the humidity. There'd been a heatwave going through the region, so it wasn't too unexpected. Many of the rich civilians were staying in the shady areas by butlers opening sun umbrellas for them and holding them at just the right angles to keep the sun out of their eyes, but allow them to bathe in the light!
However, the City had been all the bustle, especially over in the Casino District of town. With summer came all sorts of visitors from all over, and with the Tournament festivities ended in the South at ancient Tournament Grounds, this area was expecting a huge boom of tourists coming in. Many would come for the technology, of course, but the Dirty Snakes had a clean operation here for a couple of years, in the form of a legitimate casino business. Al had come away with that knowledge when he met Derry, Mirin, and Hazel weeks ago.
The building was difficult to not see, especially in the bright sunlight. People were unloading, dressed in all sorts of elaborate (and not so elaborate) clothing in their expensive vehicles. It was the usual for the business. At first, it was the usual bustle and noisiness... Up until a large shadow draped over the building for a little too long. Eyes were directed upwards to the sun, the rays of light making it difficult to see as the sun wasn't completely obscured!
'What on Earth was going on? What is that above? Who's the idiot flying a blimp so low?'
Questions like these were muttered! The dark figure above the building got closer, its size greatly increasing as it neared. It seemed to dip down, loud humming coming from it that seemed to shaking the windows of the building with a dangerous pressure! It was like they would shatter just from this object moving down closer to the street in front of the Casino below.
One pedestrian shrieked, coming to see the massive face of the blue skinned, 3 red eyed, double yellow toothed Oni! Shako did his best to show a massive grin, with Alaistair standing upon his teeth. Here, he'd display the new frontier business for his Cherry Fishing Company: Exotic Catches from Space! No longer would they just fish from the Sea! Their stars were still plenty unexplored and bounty yet to be taken. Here, he'd need investors, and with the Shako floating him down, hovering now just feet above the nearest vehicle, the Captain hopped down.
"Ladies and Gentlemen of West City! My apologies for the stupendous ruckus," Alaistair bellowed, having dressed himself in a formal black suit and red with white polka dot bow tie with his logo etched in white on his left breast pocket, "It's not every day you hear of this Casino whilst sailing the stars. I just had to swing by with my mighty vessel and see for myself!"
