Twenty-seven years. It had been twenty-seven years that Kombu had lived on the blue and green marble that hung like a bauble in the North Galaxy. The third planet from the bright star which provided life to the world, yet to no other in its gravitational pull due to being too close or too far away. Somehow, planet Earth was the only one capable of sustaining life in this solar system.
The Saiyan's coal-black eyes remained locked on the vast blue heavens above. He remained seated on the white sands of the beach on the island that he called home. While he had every intention of training today, as he did every day, at this moment Kombu just wanted to relax and enjoy the world around him. It was a practice he tried his best to partake in just as often as he strived to build his strength. Taking the time to appreciate nature was good for both the mind and the soul.
Kombu inhaled slowly through his nostrils. His sense of smell picked up the briny kiss of the ocean air, the sweet aroma of the tropical flowers nearby, and even the chlorophyll produced by the greenery in the forest which bordered the beach. After the inhale, Kombu smiled and released the breath from his lungs through his mouth.
Though staring up at the sky, the Saiyan was left to let his mind wander. Thoughts turned into memories of his parents describing what a beautiful world their old home was. Sadala, if he remembered the name right. The stories they would tell him about how they were forced to leave the planet in search of a new home, which led the family to establish their roots here on Earth. But there was another planet they had mentioned. One where a majority of his kind fled to. Plant, was it? He knew almost nothing about it. The poor man did not even have knowledge about the current political crisis there, where the Saiyans warred relentlessly against the planet's inhabitants; the Tuffles.
Still, Kombu wished to one day visit and learn more about his species' history. It was only a matter of time. He was unsure if he wanted to visit now, or at a point where his strength had grown exponentially. What was more, he needed a better ship aside from one of his parent's Attack Pods.
