To say Kane was shocked that the man was able to grab his blast would be an understatement. Honestly, in most cases, such energy would either be knocked aside or simply explode when stopped, so to see someone... examining it seemed a little beyond belief of what someone could do. That said, seeing the man manipulate his attack, Kane began to worry a bit, until Hazel said that there would be no retaliation, that he'd be safe, and he relaxed a bit and just watched as Derry tossed the energy off to the side.
And then he got brick'ed.
Kane stood there in shock, that fear rising a little bit in his throat again... until Hazel burst out laughing, causing him to stumble back from her for a moment and he watched as she made her way to Derry, still laughing a bit, and examined the man. Once things had calmed down a little, Hazel looked back at Kane and spoke, and Kane rubbed the back of his head a little. They actually seemed like... ok people to be around, not like the Nobles he had to survive in the demon realm, and what's more, he had a chance to make money and get stronger if he joined them, and if the most he had to deal with was some occasional weirdness, it'd be much better than dealing with an angry Noble.
"If you'd have me, I'd be more than happy to join." And if he could gain even half the power he saw Derry display, then he could truly work on getting his revenge on those who had wronged him. "Ah, you said something about needing to get to the capital too right? I can help lead the way, unless you two have something else planned." He said, before moving a little closer to the two of them, making sure to stay a bit more on Derry's side than on Hazel's side for obvious reasons.
He really didn't know much about what they were doing on Plant, nor did he really understand their reasoning for being apart of whatever war was happening, but if he could get help getting out this pact with the Tuffle than he would gladly put up with them and whoever happened to be apart of their group. A worried thought floated into his head, about possibly having to deal with one of Hazel's sisters, but he doubted that such a thing would happen, as it seemed like the group belonged to Derry, and Hazel was more or less along for the ride. "Are there any other members I should... know or be worried about?" He asked, shifting a look toward Hazel briefly.
