The moment that Gaffa came to after getting her arm chopped off by Azoth in the tournament, she ran out of the arena grounds without a second thought. In her hands was the severed arm that had been lobbed off; Because her body grew back naturally, the arm replaced itself in her sleep. Now she was left with a random third arm and she wasn't just going to leave it laying around somewhere.
She had tried to absorb the arm back into her body but for some strange reason, it wouldn't react like the rest of her flesh. It was the first time she had a piece of herself seperated from her main body, after all. It may be made of magic, but there was no longer a magical flow connected to the arm. In all technically terms, it had been completely severed from her. She couldn't bring herself to eat it and dispose of it that way, either. The idea just felt way too uncomfortable, even for her.
It's not like she has a place that she can leave it, though. No home to her name or anything. She isn't allowed to return to her father's dungeon until she figured out what weird ancient relics he demanded from her, and her little forest clearing had been burnt to nothing but charcoal and ashes by that goddamn dragon. Though... it's not like anyone would be interested in exploring a burnt-down forest. It might be the perfect place to hide the arm, for now.
Getting there was going to be the big issue, though. How could she get from Papaya Island to the mountain that her forest was near? She had to walk across the damn ocean floor to even get to this island, surely there was an easier way. If only she was able to fly!
Actually, why wouldn't she be able to fly?
Gaffa, standing on the beach, closed her eyes and channeled her magic. The wispy, burning fire inside of her fueled by anger, rage, and sorrow. Recalling her previous opponents that were able to fly, such as the blue majin or the masked girl, she tried to replicate the effect. Lift herself into the air using her magic as an anchor. After a few moments, she felt her feet lift a few inches from the ground. Opening her eyes to find herself floating, Gaffa shouted in excitement and immediately took off into the sky, though her flight path was wobbly and clearly hard to keep control of. It was still a fast track back to the forest, though.
It might take a few hours or so, but soon Gaffa will be back to what remains of her old place of respite, Bellpepper Forest.
